PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately assume compressed end temperature by correctly specifying a compression top dead center timing. SOLUTION: The compressed end temperature Tcmp which is a cylinder gas temperature at compression top dead center is assumed on the basis of cylinder pressure Pin, Pmax detected by a combustion pressure sensor 43 under a non-combustion state conducing fuel cutting. When the non-combustion state is not materialized, fuel injection start timing is delayed to make combustion start timing of the injected fuel become after the compression top dead center, thereby assuming the compressed end temperature Tcmp. |
