METHOD FOR CONTROLLING DIGITAL ENCODER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain stable servo operation with precision equivalent to that of a conventional one-sided edge sampling system and at short speed-data renewal intervals. SOLUTION: This controlling method includes an edge detecting means for detecting the rise and fall of a pulse signal outputted from an encoder and a cycle data detecting means for counting a cycle between edges detected by the edge detecting means. A cycle data between the edges which are the same as those detected each time the edge is detected by the edge detecting means is outputted as a control speed data of a servo.
