<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device of high picture quality by controlling a phenomenon deteriorating the off-characteristic of a TFT caused by the light that is made incident on an array substrate from behind and reflected by a counter substrate. SOLUTION: In a thin-film transistor type liquid crystal display device provided with a plurality of pixel electrodes 10 arranged in a matrix form, source wiring 5 serving also as a source electrode, gate wiring 2 serving also as a gate electrode, and a drain electrode 9, the drain electrode 9 has an extended part 9b extended in a branch form along the outer circumference of the thin-film transistor. Since the drain electrode 9 is extended in a branch form in the area between the gate electrode 2a and the pixel electrode 10 where no wiring or an electrode pattern has conventionally existed, it is possible to reduce the light passing through the array substrate in the neighborhood of the TFT, and reduce the quantity of light reflected by the counter electrode of the filter substrate.</p> |
