PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save the labor for raising a bottom or the like when there are differences in thicknesses of sample pieces of an underframe for sample books or the like of heavy weight woven fabrics. SOLUTION: The underframe for the sample books or the like of the heavy weight woven fabrics formed by integrally molding plural housing recessed parts in the desired positions of a plane plate made of a synthetic resin is set with the depths of the respective housing recessed parts at the depths varying according to the thicknesses of the sample pieces to be housed therein and the base surfaces of the housing recessed parts of the depths exclusive of the largest depth are further provided with auxiliary recessed parts reaching the same depth as the depth of the deepest housing recessed parts.
