PURPOSE: A selective recording method and a system therefor are provided to interwork an entire channel of a receiving device with an external device to record the entire channel, accurately detect a call start and call end to record call contents, and store additional information of an operator. CONSTITUTION: A CTI(Computer-Telephony Integration) server senses the start of a call between a counselor with a client, generates a call start event, and notifies the generated call start event to a record server(S200). A CTI server receives a dynamic privately hearing path for recording call contents from the record server, transmits a ring signal to a ring detecting device through a PBX(Private Branch eXchange), and sets the dynamic privately hearing path(S220). A recording device records the call contents between the counselor and the client through the dynamic privately hearing path, and stores index information having a record start date/time type in an internal database or external database server(S230). The CTI server senses the call end between the counselor and the client and notifies a call end event to the record server(S240). The record server senses the call end between the counselor and the client by the call end event and requests the end of dynamic privately hearing path to the CTI server(S250).
