PURPOSE: To provide a plasma display panel having sustaining sufficient brightness and light emitting efficiency. CONSTITUTION: Partition walls 16 partitioning distances between pixels are formed in curb shapes, sustaining electrodes 13a and scanning electrodes 13b are disposed near the partition walls 16, intervals between the electrodes at each pixel are increased, and the sustaining electrodes 13a and scanning electrodes 13b are cut off between the pixels in line direction to separate the electrodes from each other for each pixel. The sustaining electrodes 13a or scanning electrodes 13b are connected between the pixels adjacent to each other in line direction through sustaining side bus electrodes 13d and scanning side bus electrodes 13e. Thus, a high light emitting efficiency can be provided. Since the intervals between the electrodes for each pixel are large, the effective opening part of the pixel is large and, even if the electrodes are separated from each other between the pixels in line to increase the light emitting efficiency, the brightness is less lowered. Since the effective opening can be increased by connecting to each other or sharing the sustaining electrodes 13a or scanning electrodes 13b between the pixels adjacent to each other in row direction. |
