SOLUTION: A command to specify the width of an acknowledgement(Ack) signal to be generated when peripheral equipment, for example a printer, receives data is transmitted from a computer to the peripheral equipment (S2), specified data are transmitted from the computer to the peripheral equipment (S3), whether the peripheral equipment correctly receives the specified data is judged (S4, S6) and the width of the acknowledgement signal is decided according to judgment (S8). |
