PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply device for a portable electronic apparatus, which does not erase data stored in non-volatile memories accidentally when power sources are exchanged from a secondary battery to a primary battery, and prevents the primary battery from being charged by the electronic apparatus body, even if the primary battery is loaded in a battery housing case. SOLUTION: This is a power supply device for a portable electronic apparatus which uses a secondary battery as a power source, uses a primary battery when the capacity of the secondary battery becomes small, and has the function of charging the secondary battery on top of that. The device has an internal voltage adjusting circuit, a connector for connecting the internal voltage adjusting circuit and the secondary battery, a terminal assembly fitted to a battery housing part and to be connected to the primary battery, and a reverse- current preventing diode whose anode is connected to the terminal assembly and cathode is connected to the internal voltage adjusting circuit.
