PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fractionate a target sample component in analysis wherein a base line level fluctuates with good reproducibility. SOLUTION: Only a mobile phase is allowed to flow under the same analyzing condition as actual analysis and a base line chromatogram is obtained on the basis of the detection signal at this time by a chromatogram forming part 3 to be stored in a memory part 5. The actual analysis is started and the chromatogram forming part 3 reads the base line chromatogram from the memory part 5 and subtracts the detection signal value in the base line chromatogram, which corresponds to the successively obtained detection signal value of a detector, from the detection signal value of the detector to successively form a difference chromatogram. The fluctuation of the base line level is small in the difference chromatogram. A peak recognition part 7 reads a preset fractionation signal level and a fractionation signal inclination value from the memory part to recognize a peak in the successively formed difference chromatogram.
