PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent seizure and galling by drastically reducing traveling resistance and drag torque on the disconnection side when driving force is shut off. SOLUTION: This differential gear is provided with a clutch device 13 for connecting and disconnecting a ring gear 5 meshed with a speed reduction gear 21 of a speed reduction mechanism 3 and a differential case 7 arranged coaxially with it, and a differential mechanism 11 for distributing driving force input from the clutch device 13 to the differential case 7 to the wheel side. Bearings 9, 9 are arranged between the ring gear 5 and the differential case 7, and the ring gear 5, the bearings 9, 9 and the differential case 7 are axially and coaxially overlapped and arranged.
