PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moisture-permeable water-proof fabric, in which only polyether-ester-based elastomer is laminated to base fabric, having high resistance to water pressure after washing with water while possessing softness and sufficient moisture permeability and provide a method for producing the above water-proof fabric. SOLUTION: This moisture-permeable water-proof fabric is obtained by directly laminating a polyether-ester-based elastomer PEEA in which >=70 wt.% polyalkylene glycol residue is polytetramethylene glycol residue on to the surface of a base fabric composed of a fiber material and further laminating a polyether-ester-based elastomer PEEB containing 5-25 wt.% polyethylene glycol residue thereon, and sum of thickness of coat layers each composed of PEEA and PEEB is within the range of 5-50μm and a ratio of coat layer composed of PEEA to total coat layers is 5-70 wt.%.
