Naphthalene derivatives of formula (I), their racemates, isomers and salts are new. X = C(CH3)2, O or S; R1 = -(CH2)n-Z-(CH2)o-Y; Y = OH, SH, trimethyl ammonium, CN, amino or -COR3; Z = methylene or O; R2 = COR3 or hydroxymethyl; R3 = H, OH, lower alkoxy, cycloalkoxy or NR4R5; R4, R5 = H or lower alkyl; or NR4R5 = heterocycle; and n, o = 1-5.
