The valve bonnet (1) has two parallel camshafts, one fitted with a metal sleeve (4) as axial holding element for the camshafts. On the far side of the bonnet the camshaft is equipped with gears to drive the two shafts. An underside groove mounting (10) serves stability, strength and also sealing functions. The metal sleeve (4) is joined to an engine oil inlet and injection-molded covers provided for the bearings (2) of the respective camshafts. With the bearings fitted, their outside sleeves take the bonnet fixings.
