Transmitters (2,3) are set up at predetermined intervals along a traffic path (1) to transmit signals identifying the route to be taken by a vehicle (4). The signals are received by a transmission reception unit of the vehicle, the unit provided with a memory into which the specific identification data of the vehicle are stored. A direct debit device (9) acquires from the memory of the transmission reception unit, via its own receiver, the stored identification data and the received signals to compute the actual utilization reimbursement.
