An over-folded, sealed bottom carton (12) having four panels (48,42,46,44), a plurality of top panels (52,54,56,58) define a sealed top, a plurality of bottom panels (60,62,64,66) extended from the respective side panels. The bottom panels include rectangular major and minor panels. The length of the minor panel is less than the length of the major panel. The minor panel has a tab (68) extending from an end thereof and separated by a tab crease line. Each of the others of the bottom panels is formed from a plurality of substantially triangular panels and each includes a transverse panel portion (64d, 66d) extending along an entire side of one of the triangular panel. When the bottom panel is folded to formed the sealed bottom, the tab is folded over onto the minor panel, and each of the transverse panel portions overlies substantially one-half of the tab to isolate the raw edge from the carton interior region.
