PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitor terminal for a wireless LAN system, that can simply confirm a service area of the wireless LAN system so as to rationalize system operation. SOLUTION: In a high-speed wireless access system 10, including a wireless base station 18 and wireless devices 24, a monitor terminal 26 designed as a separate unit from the wireless device 24 is distributed in advance to users of the wireless device 24. When the monitor terminal 26 detects a prescribed preamble signal from a radio wave transmitted from the wireless base station 14, the base signal 18 informs the monitor terminal 26 about this, so as to allow the user to be simply able to confirm the service area 20 of the wireless base station 18.
