PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication system where a base station can automatically store position information at each point in its communication area as a database. SOLUTION: A mobile station MDT receives a radio wave from a base station and measures the multi-path number of the received radio wave, delay time of multi- path, electric field strength by each multi-path, and each electric field strength of the arrival radio wave from each base station. Furthermore, on the basis of a GPS signal Dgps obtained by a GPS receiver 16 provided to the mobile station MDT, a longitude latitude measurement section 17 measures a current position of the mobile station MDT itself. Then the information of the received state and the information of the current position are transmitted to the base station. The base station is provided with a position data storage section as a storage means, the storage means stores the information of the received state and the information of the current position transmitted from the mobile station MDT in cross-reference with each other and the base station automatically builds up a database. Furthermore, updating the information of the old receiving state having already been stored with the new information of the received state can automatically build up the database of the position information and the information of the received state with high accuracy that copes with the actual state and is new at all times. |
