PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discoloration preventing coating material by applying the material on an adhesive protruded from a joined part in footwear produced by adhering its back and bottom with the adhesive without requiring a removal process of the adhesive. SOLUTION: This discoloration preventing coating material for the footwear is obtained by dissolving 50-600 pt.wt. hindered amine-based photostabilizer showing <=80 degree of coloring based on the Hazen color number of its 20% methylene chloride solution and also having <=3000 molecular weight, based on 100 pts.wt. nonvolatile component of a non-yellowing membrane forming agent with a volatile organic solvent.
