METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING LIGHT EMITTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for enhancing emission of an EL element having a luminescent layer containing a dopant to provide a method for manufacturing a light emitting device containing an EL element with satisfactory emission. SOLUTION: This method comprises forming a first luminescent layer consisting of a luminescent material and the dopant by evaporation, and stopping the evaporation of the dopant while continuing the evaporation of the luminous material to form a second luminescent layer consisting of the luminous material. Accordingly, the continuity between the first luminescent layer and the second luminescent layer is enhanced to improve the characteristic of the interface of the luminous layer, whereby a satisfactory emission can be obtained. This technique is particularly effective in stopping the addition of the dopant or reversely the addition thereof on the way of the formation of the luminescent layer.
