PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent insertion in any directions other than the normal direction of a recording medium cartridge having a specified shape with a simple mechanism. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a main supporting part 130, a conveying part 150 for drawing a recording medium cartridge 1 supported to be freely moved between a standby position and a specified drawing position, and held in the standby position, a locking part 170 for locking the conveying part in the standby position, and an insertion regulating part 144a for preventing the passage of the recording medium cartridge in the direction other than the normal direction of the same. The locking part release the locking of the conveying part by the recording medium cartridge passed through the insertion regulating part.
