<p>The invention concerns a heavy vehicle tyre tread comprising at least a tread design element (3) delimited by at least two grooves, each element comprising a contact surface (4) limited by edges (7, 8), said contact surface (4) having, viewed in a section plane substantially perpendicular to said running tread contact surface and intersecting the two edges of the design in A1 and A2, a trace whereof the geometric profile P between points A1 and A2 have at least one protuberance (9, 10) raised relative to a virtual straight line D passing though points A1 and A2, points B1 and B2 of each protuberance (9, 10) furthest from the straight line D being located à a height Hi of said straight line and at a distance Di from the nearest point A1 or A2, with: 0.1 ≤ Di/L ≤ 0.25, where L is the distance separating points A1 and A2; 0.1 mm ≤ Hi ≤ 2.5 mm. Furthermore, said profile P passes through a point C located at a distance Hc (0 mm ≤ Hc ≤ Hi/2) of the straight line passing through A1 and A2 and substantially halfway between points A1 and A2.</p> |
