TRANSFORMED RECOMBINANT YEASTS FOR EXPRESSING FERRITIN AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING RECOMBINANT FERRITIN USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: Transformed recombinant yeasts for expressing ferritin and a method for producing recombinant ferritin using them are provided, thereby mass-producing H-form and L-form of ferritin. CONSTITUTION: The vector for expressing ferritin contains DNA which forms H-form of ferritin, in which the DNA is isolated from a human, cattle, a horse or a plant. The recombinant yeasts are produced by inserting the ferritin expressing vector into Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Hansenula polymorpha or Pichia pastoris. The H-form of ferritin is produced by culturing the recombinant yeasts. The preparations having prevention and treatment effects on iron deficiency contain the H-form of ferritin as an active ingredient.
