PURPOSE: A recording and reproducing apparatus using a camera is provided to synthesize a picture photographed using a camera integrated with a DVD to record and reproduce the synthesized picture in case of DVD recording and reproduction. CONSTITUTION: A recording and reproducing apparatus using a camera includes a camera(23) that is integrated with a digital optical recording/reproducing device to take a picture of a desired picture, and a signal processor(24) for mixing the picture photographed by the camera with a broadcasting signal of an imaging device to record the mixed signal in the optical recording/reproducing device or reproduce the signal from the device.
