PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an input of angular velocity by detecting the deviation, caused by Coriolis acceleration, of an electron current flowing from cathode to anode in a vacuum. SOLUTION: This rate sensor causes an electron current 20 to flow in the anode portions 9A and 9B of the anode 6 from the cathode 4 in a vacuum container 1 via a grid 5 to detect the deviation of the electron current 20 at the input of angular velocity.
