PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which the adhesion of dust to an exhaust gas-system device can be prevented surely and stably, even when the device is operated continuously for a long time. SOLUTION: In a desuperheating tower or the exhaust gas-system device and/or a pipeline on the upstream side of the tower, alkaline powder of slaked lime, limestone, quick lime, potassium carbonate, sodium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, magnesia, dolomite, etc., and/or neutral powder of diatomaceous earth, siliceous materials, aluminous materials, etc., are blown into an exhaust gas maintained within the exhaust gas temperature range of 200-500 deg.C, by controlling the blowing quantity of the powder, so that the concentration of salts in the dust after the powder is blown becomes <=50 wt.%.
