The invention relates to a method for printing on articles and to a dye powder for use in said method. Films or decals are frequently used as a transfer or coating for three-dimensional articles which are difficult to provide with prints. This method is complex and does not always have satisfactory results. The aim of the invention is therefore to provide a method which is simple and produces good results. To this end, the articles to be provided with a print are coated with a thermosensitive dye powder, said dye powder consisting of inorganic colorant substances that are integrated in an organic substance that can be burnt without leaving any residues. The dye powder on the surfaces of the article to be provided with a print are is heated by means of a laser or an electron beam and the dye powder that has not been heated is removed. In a further step, the dye powder is thermally burnt into the article while the organic substance is burnt without leaving any residues. |
