<p>A system and a method fo publishing an invention disclosure document for a client for the purpose of publicly disclosing an invention to end users on the Global Information Network. The system (90) includes a publication Web site 100 having a publicly accessible database (140) for storing invention disclosure documents received from clients. Invention disclosure documents preferably include primary text files and attachment files, such as drawing files. Invention disclosure documents can be marked with one or more invention disclosure documents attribute symbols. The Web site (100) also includes a search engine accessible to the end users. The search engine is in electronic communication with the database and can receive a search request from an end user, allowing the end user access to one or more of the invention disclosure documents. The invention disclosure document attribute symbols are displayed when the end user accesses the invention disclosure document. The invention dislosure documents are digitally fingerprinted.</p> |
