PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a color filter by which a metallic black matrix is made free of a light leak. SOLUTION: In the method for producing a color filter, a metallic mask is laid on a transparent substrate on which a metallic black matrix and color pixels have been formed and sputtering is carried out while electrically connecting the metallic black matrix and the metallic mask to form a transparent electrically conductive film.
