PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly form an image free from uneven density by reducing banding. SOLUTION: As for an image forming device for forming the image by developing an electrostatic latent image formed on a latent image carrier 140 by a contact-developing device 10 for applying an AC-superposed bias on a developer carrier and forming a linear carrying surface on the developer carrier, a frequency other than n times or 1/n times (n: integer) with reference to a vibration/feeding irregularity frequency peculiar to the device and contributing in the subscanning direction, the vibration/feeding irregularity frequency generated by the driver gear of the developing device 10 and contributing in the subscanning direction and the vibration/feeding irregularity frequency generated by the driving gear of the latent image carrier 140 and contributing in the subscanning direction is set for the frequency of the AC-superposed bias so that the linear carrying surface formed on the developer carrier may not synchronize with the vibration/feeding irregularity frequency in the subscanning direction, then, the banding is reduced. |
