PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly form an image free from uneven density by reducing banding. SOLUTION: As for the image forming device for forming an image by developing an electrostatic latent image formed on a latent image carrier by a contact-developing device, the image forming device is provided with the developing device 10 for applying an AC-superposed bias on the developer carrier and forming a linear carrying surface on the developer carrier, and a latent image forming means 40 for performing an image processing by a screen structure for reproducing a halftone image, and then, forming the electrostatic latent image on the latent image carrier 140, a relation between the pitch of the linear carrying surface by the AC-superposed bias and the dot pitch in a subscanning direction by the screen is set so as not to be n or 1/n times (n: integer), and the developer carrying quantity is stabilized, there are no components synchronizing with the linear developer carrying surface, then, the banding is reduced. |
