PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide real-time traffic information based on letters intended mainly for a user interface so that a user can compare the traffic condition of an expressway with that of a general way running parallel thereto, without recording the searched traffic information of both ways. SOLUTION: Real-time traffic information is provided to the user's portable terminal so that the user can compare the jammed or regulated condition of an expressway with that of a general way running parallel thereto, to determine which of the ways should be taken. This real-time traffic information intended mainly for the user interface is displayed so that the user can selectively take the desired way by comparing the traffic conditions.
