PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a POS system for managing the sales of commodities, to which commodity codes and prices are attached, capable of separately using display prices attached to the commodities and PLU prices contained in a PLU properly with simple operation. SOLUTION: A commodity code searching part 13 searches from a PLU master storage part 14 a PLU commodity code corresponding to a display commodity code read out of commodity by a display commodity code reading part 11 and a determining part 15 determines to use the corresponding PLU price if the PLU commodity code exists and to use the display price read out of the commodity by the display price reading part 11 if no PLU commodity code exists.
