SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR EFFECTIVE AND SECURE CANCELLATION OF SIGNATURE CERTIFICATE IN PUBLIC KEY INFRASTRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for canceling a digital signature certificate securely at a high-speed, that can efficiently cancel the digital signature certificate of users in a public key infrastructure(PKI). SOLUTION: A user manager at times wight cancel a signature certificate. A user or a personal cancellation station generates an authenticated confidential storage channel including a registration web server to start a cancellation process. The user or the personal cancellation station uses the authenticated confidential storage channel to request the registration web server to cancel the signature certificate of the user. The registration web server inquires a directory, to verify that the personal cancellation station is permitted for canceling the signature certificate of the user. The signature certificate of the user is canceled. The registration web server informs the directory about the cancellation of the signature certificate of the user.
