PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographic material which can be fixed under substantially dry conditions. SOLUTION: In a method for providing an image to an imagewise exposed sliver halide photographic material including at least one silver halide emulsion layer, the silver halide is developed and the residual silver halide is fixed by bringing a molten composition containing a silver halide complexing agent in an amount enough to substantially remove the residual silver halide into contact with the residual silver halide.
