PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phone, a repeater and a recording medium by which a LAN phone transfers a call to other LAN phone during communication by relaying inter-local-area-network and other inter-local-area-network, having a different sub-net with a communication channel. SOLUTION: A phone 12a, that is connected to a local area network 10, is provided with a means that obtains a reply as to whether other called party phone 12b is available for calling, when making a call, and a means that informs a caller phone 22a about the address of the called phone 12b which made a reply.
