<p>A liquid heating jug having a glass jug body is fitted with a planar electric heating element by providing a bulge just above the open bottom of the jug body, providing a hub base part which fits over the top of the jug body and engages with the bulge, juxtaposing the heating element with the open bottom of the glass body with a seal provided therebetween, and securing the heating element in place by use of base closure member which is secured to the base part and has support features which hold the heating element in place.</p> |
