<p>A furniture leg (2), for say a table (3), has one or more arms (4) which are pivotally mounted at one end adjacent to the top of the leg in a header (6) attached at the top of the leg. The arms (4) are pivotable between a first position in which they are substantially parallel with the leg and a second position in which they project transversely to the leg to support a table-top extension 3'. A bolt (17) is slidable within each arm (4) for movement along the arm between a non-operative position in which the bolt is housed within the arm and an operative position in which an end (20) of the bolt extends out of the one end of the arm into engagement with a socket (12) formed in the header (6) adjacent to the pivot point of each arm.</p> |
