The interface has a signal bus system with baseband and high frequency components, a first group of signal lines (4) for UMTS transmit signals and a second group of lines (9) for UMTS reception signals. GSM transmit signals can be passed to the high frequency side via at least one group of signal lines and/or GSM reception signals can be passed to the baseband side via at least one group of signal lines. Independent claims are also included for the following: a method of transferring signals between a baseband side and a high frequency side in radio equipment.
