The stick has a central section and two pointed end sections. At least one of the sections has a polygonal surface with at least three corners, positioned at right angles to the longitudinal rod axis. The surface is rotary-symmetrical. Another rod has a surface with at least four, pref. six and esp. eight corners. A rod may have two or more polygonal surfaces. Different rods form a game of pick-up-sticks.
