PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structural material connecting method which takes less time compared with conventional welding and bolting, quickly carries out connection, and improves working efficiency, enables to execute furring steel work by a single dealer (e.g. a sheet metal dealer), to thereby implement a streamlined construction system by a smaller number of dealers. SOLUTION: An almost H-shaped die steel 1 has flanges, and one of the flanges has its half side cut from its central portion in a length direction D of the flange 3 at predetermined widths E, to thereby form a furring steel material for a wall or a roof. An end 6a of a joint anchor 6 is fixed to a structural material 5 such as a beam, a furring strip, and a column, which is different from the almost H-shaped die steel 1. The other end 6b of the joint anchor 6 is inserted from a cut portion 7 of the almost H-shaped die steel 1 and fixed to a web 4 by means of a rivet 8.
