PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knitting machine equipped with fingers which can prevent the damages and wear of the butts of knitting machine needle selection jacks. SOLUTION: This knitting machine needle selector uses fingers 30 each comprising a central portion 32b having a rotation support point 33b, a bar-like long and slender member 32c reaching from the butt contact side 32d of the tip portion to the central portion 32b, and a piezoelectric member-engaging portion 32a extended from the central portion in the opposite direction. The rotation support point 33b of the finger 30 is shifted from the longitudinal axis of the long and slender member 32c of the finger 30 to either of the left and right sides. Thereby, the butt contact side 32d is brought into contact with the butt of each needle selection jack substantially in a relation of face-to-face. Thus, the damages and wear of the butts of the knitting machine needle selection jack can be prevented.
