The invention concerns an equipment for moulding foundry parts in a mould comprising at least a sand core (Na1), wherein the positioning of the or each core is produced by co-operation between the core and a mould element (S), in particular a metal mould element. Said equipment is characterised in that the or each core has an insert (1) secured to the core when said core is produced and by means of which said core is adapted to be urged in co-operation with said mould element. The invention also concerns a related method for positioning cores. The invention is particularly useful for improving the positioning of intake pipes in light alloy cylinder heads for internal combustion engines.
