PURPOSE: A shell loader is provided to feed shells on a caterpillar by the unit of pitch by improving the structure and to safely feed shells by shielding a shell loader when shells are fed. CONSTITUTION: A shell loader comprises a caterpillar-shaped base(3) installed inside a frame(1), shell loading units(2) for loading and feeding shells, and a driving unit for driving the shell loader. A guide groove is formed on the base. The shell loading units are connected via links on the caterpillar. A shell support having a guide shaft guided along the guide groove is included in the shell loading unit. The driving unit is installed on the base. The shell support is continuously or intermittently rotated on the caterpillar by the driving unit. A shell opening and closing unit(5) is installed at a side of the frame. When supplying and discharging shells, the shell opening and closing unit is closed to falling down and displacement of a shell.
