PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure sealing performance not only during the rotation of a rotating shaft but also in the stationary state where high pressure is applied. SOLUTION: This shaft seal is provided with a front seal member 5 disposed on the fluid storage chamber 33 side and having a rubber lip tip part 13b coming in sliding contact with the rotating shaft 32, and a rear seal member 25 disposed on the low pressure side 42 and having a rubber lip tip part 27b coming in contact with the rotating shaft 32 in a stationary state to perform sealing action. |
