PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell vehicle that can be stopped in a reformer purged quickly and sealed with an inert gas, based on a vehicle stop or abnormal signal by using a simple method, without providing an inert gas cylinder, and to provide a method of stopping the reformer for the vehicle. SOLUTION: The fuel cell vehicle is provided with a reformer 5, an air compressor 21, an oxidizer gas supply line 61, that is provided to supply an oxidizer gas from the air compressor 21 to the reformer 5 and has a first change-over valve 82, an inert gas supply line 62 that is provided parallel to the line 61 to supply the inert gas from the air compressor 21 to the reformer 5, and has an oxygen/nitrogen separator 15 for forming the inert gas in addition to second change-over valves 83a, 83b, and a control device 81 that controls the change-over of the valves to close the first valve 82 and to open the second ones 83a, 83b, when the vehicle is in a stop or if abnormality occurs to the vehicle. |
