PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a checking method and a checking system for protecting copyright effectively and reliably. SOLUTION: This checking method checks the information stored in terminals 104 forming a network 103 by using a robot agent 102 that moves among the terminals 104 and decides whether the electronic watermarks are embedded in the information.
