PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent leakage of water from cold joints at the intersections of soil cement continuous walls constructed in intersecting relationship. SOLUTION: A releasable clearance forming member 3 is inserted into the portion of a previously constructed wall 1 at its end which overlies another continuous wall 2 constructed to intersect the end; when the soil cement of the preceding continuous wall 1 loses its flowability, the clearance forming member 3 is drawn out to form a clearance 4, after which the intersecting continuous walls 1 and 2 including a portion of the clearance are constructed.
