PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver electrolytic peeling solution capable of performing peeling in a short time of about 10 to 15 sec without causing discoloration and the unevenness in luster on a base, on a silver plating film in the required part and on the boundary part between a silver plating film in the required part and a silver plating film in the unrequired part, further capable of performing peeling even in the case the concentration of the main component in the peeling solution is <=50 g/L, moreover capable of continuous peeling operation for two or more weeks and also usable for the strip- like object to be treated and to provide a silver electrolytic peeling method using the same silver electrolytic peeling solution. SOLUTION: This silver electrolytic peeling solution contains (a) succinimide, (b) at least one selected from a group consisting of aliphatic aminocarboxylic acid, the salt of aliphatic aminocarboxylic acid, aliphatic hydroxycarboxylic acid and the salt of aliphatic hydroxycarboxylic acid and (c) a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound. In this silver electrolytic peeling method, the object to be treated is dipped into the same silver electrolytic peeling solution, and, by using the object as an anode, and unnecessary silver film on the object is removed.
