A housing (1) has an inlet pipe (5) joining the socket to a gas-pipe, and has an outlet socket (3) for connecting a gas-connecting plug especially in the form of tubing. The housing contains a shut-off device (11) . A cap (18) covers the opening (20) of the outlet socket by means of a cover (21), when the gas connecting plug is detached. The cover has a lock which is unlocked into an insertion opening (23).
