<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method which makes a light receiving member free of flawing and wear even after long-term use, always gives a clear image, does not cause image defects due to fusion and filming in any environment, is widely applicable to high-, medium- and low-speed machines and ensures small power consumption and high image quality and to provide an image forming device. SOLUTION: An image is formed by developing, transferring and fixing an electrostatic latent image using a light receiving member with at least a surface layer formed from non-single crystalline carbon containing 35-55 at.% hydrogen atoms and satisfying the relation of 0.01<=B/A<=0.5 between the sum (A) of the areas of waveforms separately having peaks at 2,850 cm-1 and 2,920 cm-1 in an infrared absorption spectrum and the sum (B) of the areas of waveforms separately having peaks at 3,000 cm-1 and 3,050 cm-1 and a toner containing at least a bonding resin having 40-80 deg.C glass transition temperature, an electric charge controlling agent and a wax having the main peak of molecular weight in the range of 400-10,000 and at least one endothermic peak of differential thermal analysis in the range of 60-150 deg.C.</p> |
